AIAG Awards TradeMerit its 2010 Outstanding Achievement Award

Boston, MA July 28, 2010. TradeMerit, a Canada-based international trade and logistics service company, was awarded the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) 2010 Outstanding Achievement Award. The award was given to TradeMerit as a result of its outstanding contribution to AIAG initiatives. TradeMerit was one of only two companies to receive this distinguished award in 2010.
TradeMerit helped General Motors, one of project participants, reduce intercontinental shipping delays and costs for its auto parts with a comprehensive and mature supply chain management solution via a SaaS model. By shortening order cycle time by five days, General Motors saved approximately $780,000 in inventory costs for a single trade lane.
The solution was built around the Material Off-Shore Sourcing (MOSS) project, which was initiated by the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) two years ago to improve the business processes and information exchanges that drive intercontinental shipment of goods.
As a result of the exceptional success of the MOSS project and demonstrating its implementation benefits, AIAG awarded TradeMerit 2010 Outstanding Achievement Award. The award is a testament to the value TradeMerit has delivered to the MOSS project.
